The minds of teenagers is built from the early childhood and the geographical picture of the childhood, the place where the child grew really doesn't matter. Because of the reason that most of their parents, grandparents, grand grand parents acted and had the same or similar mindset.
Fun, joy, excitement and in the "popular" way the new synonym "life". The word "life" has really lost its meaning today in the world of teenagers, in direct young people explanation the word life has the meaning of "going out and having fun". Well in a flash, going out and having fun doesn't sound so negative... because the word life isn't the only word which has been transformed. Fun is also one of the other words that should be more "stricter".
I met a university student in the train and we had a little talk about his university, while talking about the level of difficulty he said, "It is really not so hard, if you do the minimum you will pass." This is basic mindset of the most of the teenagers here, they only think about passing the year and not thinking about getting high grades.
Living in the moment in the moment, not moment in the life, directly means "thinking long-term". If teenagers today would live in the moment in the life they wouldn't waste so much time in unnecessary things which are very distanced in "investing for a better future". By living in the moment in the moment teenagers don't really know what to do in their life besides having short term fun and forgetting about the consequences in the future, for example from consuming of alcohol.
In simple words, we should not not study just because it is vacation.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Very true, HyunSoung. I think many adults live that way too, so their children have no role models to teach them how to live differently.Yeah, but i guess people will now slowly change. :)Thanks!
Great article, HyunSoung though I think teenagers have a lot deal with. The hormonal turmoil and peer pressure are just two examples. This is the time to act foolishly and rebel for the sheer fun of it! So, expecting teenagers to think long-term maybe asking too much. But certainly if the parents were understanding, supportive, and above all good role models, teens could have a better experience. You said it all! :)"This is the time to act foolishly and rebel for the sheer fun of it" I really like this sentence.Thank you very much for support! You are mostly welcomed HyunSoung :).Gregory Lewis, an avid reader of your articles and mine, noted that we both have similar synergy and suggested that we should co-author some articles together. After reading your some of your work, I certainly agree with him.I invite you to read some of my articles whenever you time allows and we can go from there :).Sure, there is no reason not to and thousands to do it :)Now i am studying, later i will check your articles and we can create a idea to write about that suits us both the best.I just checked your titles, and i find this really funny and nice "Relationship Advise - Who Needs a Man When You Have a Jacuzzi?!" :)Btw, thanks Gregory Lewis for the suggestion!
It is wonderful description. You are very smart and I think you have good heart as well!!!
